It delivers a high-volume stream of clean room air alongside your existing oxygen concentrator output — pushing the ambient chamber air-to-concentrated-O₂ ratio to 20:1 and keeping the inside of the chamber safely below the 23.5% FiO₂ threshold defined in NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code.

Standard chambers run about a 9:1 dilution ratio. That's fine for home use, but as soon as an oxygen concentrator is running the chamber atmosphere begins climbing toward oxygen-enriched levels. NFPA 99 defines an oxygen-enriched atmosphere as anything above 23.5% O₂, and once you cross that line the whole environment is treated as a fire-risk space. Our 20:1 kit more than doubles the room-air side of the equation so you stay comfortably under the code threshold — without ever cutting your therapy time or your working pressure.

How the 20:1 dilution works

Every hyperbaric chamber is a mix of two air streams: compressed room air from the air compressor and concentrated oxygen from one or more oxygen concentrators. The ratio between the two determines the FiO₂ inside the chamber.

• Standard 10 LPM system, no upgrade: ~9:1 ratio — chamber climbs toward oxygen-enriched territory.
• Standard 20 LPM system, no upgrade: ~4.5:1 ratio — chamber runs even richer in oxygen.
• 10 LPM + 20:1 Air Purge Kit: 20:1 ratio — chamber stays cleanly below 23.5% O₂.

The high-flow pump draws more power than a standard chamber compressor and may require a dedicated 20-amp circuit depending on your room layout. During your install call we'll confirm your electrical setup and specify the plug and breaker requirements for your chamber.
